The Issue
Our client wanted a cost effective way to highlight their Half Price Christmas value message. In addition it was key to focus on a range of BIG brand products across a variety of categories. Highlighting to the customer leading brands at a price considerably cheaper than other retailers, and give the retailer the opportunity to draw new customers in who would normally shop elsewhere, all the while being mindful of the point of sale spend and any return on the investment made.
The Solution
Following discussions on the potential point of sale items that could be produced, it was decided that large window posters highlighting the key brands across Toys, Health & Beauty and Food would be featured. In addition to complement the in-store look, hanging signs and aisle flags gave additional support to the Half Price message. Thus giving the store and the main aisle and lift and improving the general ambience of the stores.
The Process
Coconut took the initial brief and came back with a number of initial concepts to discuss which lead to the final design going into production. Coconut was able to take throw away comments and turn it into effective in-store Point of Sale ideas. We very quickly formed a good working relationship where the whole team were able to bounce ideas around and put together a good looking but cost effective Christmas campaign.
The Result
Sales figures were up compared with rival retailers with a marked increase in like for like results. The Point of Sale campaign certainly helped us achieve a great set of figures. Coconut have continued to be proactive with a positive can-do attitude and we look forward to working with them over the coming year.
